Baby turtles

I was on the 1.30-5am shift again last night. It’s lovely being on the beach at night, but such a trek to get there it’s exhausting – haven’t had chance to get jet-lag jet! – going to ask if I can do every other night rather than every night !

Last night though – a special treat! Some babies had hatched out so we took them down to the beach with us and released them into the sea. They were soo tiny going out into that big sea- apparently only 1in 1000 survive with help so even less chance without 😌

The nest is collapsing in the middle which means the Eggs are hatching
A bucket of tiny turtles ❤️🐢
Being released into the sea – the red is infra red torch – you can see the sea line at the top of the picture

Soon after we found another nest with 104 eggs!!

I still haven’t seen a turtle (adult one) yet 👀🐢

Yesterdays joke – what kind of photos do turtles take? ….shellfies

Todays joke ….,What is a turtle’s favorite kind of sweater?

Answer tomorrow….
