Yesterday the Green Sea Turtle eggs that were brought to the Reserve Playa Tortuga hatchery from Hamosa beach hatched. The Green Sea Turtles are a bit bigger than the Olive Ridley turtles that we have here. Yesterday I watched them being released into the sea. It was quite heart- wrenching watching them get caught up by the sea and being tossed about; their little heads popping up out of the waves but they are free to start their new lives in the ocean.
