I will be flying out to Costa Rica on Tuesday 12th to start my adventure doing Turtle and Wildlife conservation.

Why turtles? I hear you ask ?

Well firstly I wanted to visit Costa Rica for its biodiversity, beautiful scenery and varied wildlife.

I will be based at Tortuga on the South Pacific Coast

I found this project with turtles and wildlife through Pod Volunteer and thought it would be amazing to do.

I also do love tortoises and turtles 🐢

I grew up hearing about Turtles on the island where my Gran grew up off the coast of Burma ( Now Myanmar) (more about this in another post)

There was also a beach which was protected for loggerhead turtles in Zakinthos Greece on my first holiday abroad in 1987, and I have often seen turtles when on holiday in Turkey.
